San Angelo August 5 lamb buyers refused 81.8 to 8 cents a pound for fall delivery as Ram bouillet country sellers held firm. Northern firms from Des Moines Ogden Denver Chicago and Indianapolis moved large lots while total Texas sheep sold this year nears 3,000,000 head. Bud Barfield Amos Womble and Walter Duff are among traders moving substantial lots and weighing 60 to 67 pounds.
New York. Wilbur Rothar a 42 year old Bronx janitor was held on $20,000 bail for allegedly extorting $2,000 from George Putnam husband of Amelia Earhart by claiming he had found the missing aviator and was holding her aboard a ship.
John Edward Graf was bitten on the right foot by a dog Wednesday while riding his bicycle. He was reported doing very well Thursday at his parents home 207 North Main Street. The attending physician said his condition was satisfactory.
Dorothy Moore Davidson sues for divorce from Philip James Davidson in Pittsburgh after an 11 day romance. Married in 1935, she won a $500 monthly maintenance order last fall and now seeks final divorce.
