The twelfth annual Texas Sheep and Goat Raisers Auction sold 73 rams with no set price. highest single animal $700 and top buyer Fritz Wilhelm of Brady. Mrs. C. B. Hudspeth bought a ram for $590 while B. E. Webb paid $125 for a ram, the day’s high. The sale lists include numerous farms and buyers such as Tul lard Brothers, W D Candland and Sons, Bullard Brothers, and T L Drisdale with results by lot across diverse breeds and colleges.

Man Fined in Court for Disturbing the Peace
A Brownwood man was fined in the Justice of the Peace court this morning for disturbing the peace following a collision on the International Bridge last night. Sheriff M. Whistler said the crash involved a car carrying the man and a Mexican driver in a separate machine. The arrest occurred at 11 p.m. yesterday and the defendant paid a $12.70 fine.

A bear named A Black Bruno escaped from a cage behind the Blue Goose Cafe during an after dinner stroll. Two Bandits Shot Dead After Huddle In Basement Clash
Kansas City August 3 Two bandits were killed and a police officer wounded in a basement confrontation after a hold up. Police chased the culprits by car to an apartment house and the door opened to return fire. Officer James Dwyer was wounded but not seriously. Both bandits died after riot gun fire. Neither assailant has been identified.
