Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Robert Ross Miers aged 24 at his parents home. The Rev. Roland Murray officiated with interment in Westlawn Cemetery. He died Sunday at Williams Sanitarium after two weeks illness from influenza complications. He was born July 15, 1911 in Del Rio and later ran his family ranches in Vinegarone and near Cline. He married Edith Davis on February 20, 1935. Survivors include his widow, his parents, two sisters, other relatives, and numerous out of town attendees from Menard Kerrville and Sonora.
