John Powers Dies After Long Illness at St Peter
John Powers, long time DeKalb resident, died yesterday morning at three o'clock at the home of his son Fred in St Peter Minnesota after a series of illnesses since summer. He came to the area at age fourteen and lived here about 72 years, farming many years before retiring. He left five sons Fred St Peter Ed Kenosha Steve Iowa Will Montana and two daughters Mrs Ed Mihm Milan and Mrs Ed Boland this city. The body was taken to the home of Mrs Boland and funeral services will be held tomorrow at St Mary's church at ten o'clock.
