DeKalb Honors War Heroes With Daylong Ceremonies
DeKalb residents will observe a full day of ceremonies honoring local and national fallen soldiers. Legion members assemble at nine for services at St Marys Church, followed by a tree planting at Annie’s Woods and a memorial address by Rev. J Solon. A noon concert at the Memorial clock at Third and Lincoln is planned, with a 1 PM parade featuring Legionnaires, veterans groups, Scouts, and students, culminating in a second parade and evening festivities at Elks and Odd Fellows halls.
