Death After Auto Smash Claims Edward Barrett
Edward Barrett dies after being struck by a car driven by Leo McGirr during a night rainstorm. He suffered a skull fracture, pneumonia set in, and he died Saturday night. Barrett, born to John and, lived near DeKalb, married June 5, 1907, had four children, three predeceased him. Survived by wife Grace, sisters Mrs Houtz and Mrs Evans, Helen Barrett, brother Roy Barrett, last rites held at St. Mary's Church. Remains buried in Catholic cemetery.
