Franklin K Lane, born Charleston South Carolina in 1864, died at Marys Hospital in Rochester after a relapse post operation. He served as United States secretary of the interior under President Wilson and earlier worked as a journalist and lawyer in California and Washington. He was involved with the Pan American Petroleum and Transportation Company.
