Many Arrests Made In April In This City
DeKalb police reports show sixteen arrests in April with fifteen for city ordinance violations. Sleepers totalled 215, ambulance trips numbered thirteen. One arrest was on a state warrant sending the prisoner to Sycamore county jail. Total fines reached £128. a $50 fine remained unpaid to be settled later. Offenses included intoxication, drunken and disorderly conduct, disorderly behavior, assault and battery, reckless driving, and an overloaded truck.

City council names waterworks committee and hires survey bids
Alderman Robert Newcomer will chair the waterworks committee as Mayor Lindstrom announces at the May session. Clinic For The Cripples Held In City Today
A crippled children's clinic was held this afternoon at the Elk's club under the Elks lodge. Twenty children reserved spots, with more expected as specialists examined the youngsters. Dr Hark of Chicago led the examinations with local physicians assisting. This marks the Elks' second sponsorship of a crippled children clinic in DeKalb.

Mrs Frank G Anderson will tomorrow move to Rockford where she will make her future home. The departure follows the sale of her North First street residence to M F Malone several weeks ago. Lee Blacksmith Injured by Gas Tank Explosion
John Malmberg, 69, Lee Ill, injured this morning while repairing a gasoline tank with a torch. The tank exploded, striking his forehead and causing a four inch cut. The fire in the shop was extinguished quickly. He was treated by Dr. W L Shank and later at Waterman hospital before returning home. The tank had been brought by Sam Ostewig of DeKalb for repairs and was believed empty.
