Fire Truck Ready Here in DeKalb for Tests and Demonstration
The DeKalb Community fire truck arrived about 1:00 p.m. yesterday amid crowds. Officials plan official demonstrations tomorrow afternoon on the Teachers College drive near the pond, with tests of pump power, water draw, pressure, and distance led by factory demonstrator Mr Thiel from Logansport Indiana. The six cylinder Reo motor powers the truck, which features a large search light, siren, ladders, nozzles, complete chemical equipment, and two water pump lines adaptable to ponds, rivers, or wells. A. V. Rothwill the field engineer will supervise. The demonstrator will stay to train the local crew.

Start Work On Two More Oil Stations Here
Work has begun on two additional oil stations in the city. A permit was issued yesterday for a station on the Laney property at the southeast corner of Fourth and Oak streets. Construction has started. A second station is planned at the Fourth and Taylor streets intersection just outside the city limits.
