Local friends were stunned by a Sunday night crash near Kenosha that seriously injured Joly Carlson and Mrs Elva Lundberg Carlson. The couple, en route to church in Kenosha, were struck by Lloyd Desteen during a rainstorm. Both were taken to Kenosha hospital with Mrs Carlson suffering a skull fracture and Mr Carlson with three broken ribs. Mrs Lundberg left DeKalb to be with her daughter as a large community meeting is planned for tomorrow at the Normal school with multiple talks and a luncheon conference.
