Eighteen people stranded at Paul Willett farm home two miles west of Malta on the Lincoln Highway after their car was stuck in a three to four foot drift. Sixteen men remained at the Willett home, while two from Davenport Iowa trekked inside nearly frozen. Traffic from DeKalb to Sycamore halted as state plows failed to break the drift. Some motorists reached Sycamore via corn fields. others were trapped east of DeKalb with drifts to Chicago spanning long stretches. Train service by Chicago and North Western disrupted. many trains delayed, cargo yards blocked. Rural mail carriers limited by snow, delivering only a portion of routes.

Funeral Services for Mrs Fargo Held in Geneva
Funeral services for Mrs H B Fargo were conducted today in Geneva with attendance from Sycamore. Services started at 3:00 p m at the home, burial followed in a Geneva cemetery. Mrs Fargo died suddenly Monday morning from heart trouble after being in apparent good health the day before.
