Sycamore farmers hold meet on drainage plan
About 150 farmers gathered in the county courthouse to hear plans for a drainage project between Genoa road and route 64. A petition signed by around 95 acres seeks an open ditch or large tile to drain land kept wet by heavy rains, while some well drained properties oppose spending. Attorneys represent both sides and a commission may be formed to decide who joins.
