League Proposes Changes to Fish and Game Laws
Members of the Sycamore League urged new rules to protect wildlife in the state. They back a closed season for quail and prairie chicken, lower daily duck limits, higher stream pollution fines, and protection for trout. They also argued for more wardens, and debated traps in preserves. A nominating committee was picked and a future state convention date to be set. The session, in the Library Chamber, was one of the best in months. An odd tip about avoiding cabbage odor with walnuts ends the piece.
