City Schools and College to Have a Vacation
City schools and the state college will observe seven days of spring vacation next week. Dismissal is this afternoon with classes resuming one week from next Monday. Death Takes Mrs Farwell in City After Illness
Mrs. Sarah E. Farwell, sister of Mrs. James Dresser, died at her sister’s home at 3 a.m. after a two week illness. She was born September 20, 1838 in Chautauqua County New York and lived in Racine Kansas before moving to the city seven years ago. Funeral services Sunday at 2:30 p.m. from the Dresser home conducted by Rev. B Barrett Evans. burial in Oakwood. She leaves one sister and was previously survived by three sisters and a brother.
