Irene McNicholas formerly Hart, sister of Mrs Ed Gallagher of rural route 2, died yesterday afternoon in a highway crash between Racine and Milwaukee. Two others injured, services planned in Racine with relatives attending. Survived by two young sons, mother Mrs Steve Hart of Aurora, and sister in Aurora. husband Dr McNicholas deceased two years ago.

An inquest today investigated the death of Mrs Albert Dowland, 65, of Chesterfield near Carlinville, who died yesterday from severe burns after her hair caught fire while she dried it near a stove. Her son Clarence Dowland tried to smother the flames. She was taken to Macoupin County Hospital where she died.
