A Scranton Grandmother Elizabeth French Goodyear Dies at 98
Elizabeth Cornelia French, born November 28 1824 in Parkman Ohio, died January 8 1928 in Scranton Iowa at age 98. She taught school seven years, joined the Methodist church, married Henry A Goodyear in 1846 and lived in Ohio Missouri and Scranton. Surviving children include Monroe Goodyear and others. 21 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren. Funeral held at M E church with Rev D H Howry. Scranton businesses closed in respect.
