Survived by wife Eve Rohnert, six brothers, one sister, and many relatives and friends. Funeral Monday at 2 PM at the Pine Street home, Rev. FW Pela of the Baptist church officiating. Interment in Fairview.
A heated scene erupted in the Senate cloak room as Senator Carter Gass challenged Senator Burton and Senator Wheeler. Wheeler and Glass clashed briefly with onlookers rushing to restrain them amid a banking bill debate and a rolling vote.

In Rochester New York a fierce rivalrous butcher feud ended in multiple deaths and injuries. Gordon Gt, enraged by the trade battle, killed Harry Katz 22 and Samuel Tolse 40, wounded Morris Klass 33 and Jack Cohen 10, with Klass gravely hurt and Tolse dying at their shops. The community fled indoors as police investigated and residents sought safety.
Attorneys in a junction suit say Route 23 north to Ottawa will see no work before next fall. The La Salle county project, once set to begin over a year ago, was redirected from the Plank road to Terra Cotta hill, triggering the injunction to block the change and halt construction.
