Downey Price dies after two months of failing health at DeKalb born near DeKalb January 1 1860s lived his life in DeKalb area married in Toronto in 1889, worked for American Steel and Wire and Nehring Electrical, survived by wife sister Anna Bair Chicago and many nieces and nephews. He was a longtime Modern Woodmen member and known as Uncle Downey. Funeral plans not yet announced.

Two Killed On Railroad At Waterman Crossing
Henry Martin and Walter Liddick, prominent Waterman youths, were killed when their automobile was struck by a Burlington train at the first crossing east of Big Rock. The crash near midnight mangled both bodies. Martin operated the Wilberger garage in Waterman and was 42, married with a baby. Liddick, recently discharged from the army, worked for Martin and left Aurora with him to buy equipment. Both men left Aurora late and the train, departing Aurora about 11:30 p.m., was traveling at high speed. Both families mourn the loss of two well regarded young men.
