Lewis Pridgen Albert Worske both of Rocky Island were fined 300 each and jailed 0 days for illegally transporting alcohol from Chicago to Rock Island. Miss May Sherman jailed 60 days fined 100. They were arrested after 70 gallons of liquor were found in their Chrysler sedan. Police received a tip from Elburn about a stolen car. a Chrysler sedan matching the description was stopped, and a fully loaded revolver and shells were found. The trio were booked at the DeKalb police station and later brought before the county court.

Services for Mrs Harris Held at St Mary's Church

Mrs. George Smith of Malta received word that R. J. Makarrall died at his Walnut Grove Minnesota home at about 65. He lived near Malta until 18 years ago on the farm now owned by A. J. Anderson.
