Former Malta resident and Chicago nurse Miss Alice Brundage died suddenly in Chicago yesterday morning after a brief illness. Burial is planned in Malta. She is survived by two sisters Eleanor Brundage of Malta and Mrs. Kate Howard of Seattle and four brothers Martin of Los Angeles Arthur M of Wheaton Charles of Chicago and William S of Cherbourne Minn. She was about 40 years old.

In Fort Gage Illinois three intruders robbed a store last night and killed Henry Asselman age 60 when he resisted. Customers reported five men arrived in a car with three entering the shop. One struck Asselman with a gun as he searched the cash register before being shot. A cap bearing a West Prinktort merchant mark was found. A posse hunted the woods nearby but found no trace of the bandits. Fort Gage lies six miles west of Chester.
