Railroad brakeman killed in Ashton yards
Harry Snyder of Elmhurst Illinois head brakeman on freight train No 318 was killed in Ashton yards while waiting for the engine to take on water. He was sitting on the rails when the engine returned to hook up. An inquest was scheduled for this afternoon. Snyder earlier rode the same train that killed an unidentified man at Malta last week and the DeKalb man who died after being struck by a passenger train.
