Former Dekalb Man to Utah on Mill Erection
Ross VP Keckstrom of Industrial Potash Corporation, formerly of DeKalb, has left Rockford for Marysville Utah to supervise construction of a new mill for reclaiming potash on the firm’s properties. Development work is complete and engineer reports are promising. About 50 000 dollars worth of machinery is ready for installation and contracts will be let soon for the remainder. The first mill is expected to handle 250 tons of ore daily.

Fuller Driving Road Improvement On South First Street
Township Commissioner Frank Fuller has renovated a country road on South First Street with an oil and tarvia surface. The north end shows solid, hardened paving and another coat is planned, while bad holes near the cemetery have been filled with crushed rock and dressing. Once hardened, the improvements are expected to remove chuck holes and keep maintenance normal for years. Those testing the road praise the tarvia top and anticipate South First Street will rival the cement South Fourth Street road.
