Weiner's Department Store unveils its 18000 square foot air conditioned facility at Park Town Center Deer Park with 9 am opening on Thursday December 4. The store offers clothing for all ages plus shoes fabrics rugs bedding draperies and home items under manager William C. Tibbs. The shopping center also houses Walgreens Weingarten's Western Auto and more across 88968 square feet built by Joe A McDermott Inc and designed by Thompson McCleary.

The $155000 Police Court Building beside City Hall was dedicated on Saturday November 22 with an open house for tours. The 6400 square foot L shaped structure includes a police section with cells and interview rooms, a jail area with holding rooms, a courtroom for 40, and a generator system. Built to expand, it serves both the Police Department and Corporation Court in the growing community.
