Firefighters Display Expertise At Industrial Drill
The Channel Industries Mutual Aid Organization demonstrated industrial fire fighting expertise at an annual drill on Wednesday Oct. 12 at ARCO Chemical Company training grounds in Channelview. CIMA, a 58 member cooperative, maintains equipment and manpower for emergencies. Participants included ARCO, Diamond Shamrock, Hermann Hospital Life Flight, Houston Fire Department, McKay Chemical, Paktank Gulf Coast, and U S S Chemical Company.

Airman Bell Dean M. Bell son of Johnnie B. Bell 2205 Pickerton has been assigned to Little Rock AFB Arkansas for duty in the U S Air Force transportation Held. The airman who recently completed basic training at Lackland AFB Texas studied the Air Force mission organization and customs and received instruction on human relations. Completion of this training earned credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Airman Bell is a 1977 graduate of Deer Park High School. His mother Callie B. Bell resides at 1111 Burke Pasadena.
