Planning and Zoning Hears Apartment Site Variance Request
The Planning and Zoning Commission discussed a proposed apartment project on a site re zoned for Apartment District over two years ago. A variance from setback rules for sidewalk work along a deep drainage ditch may be requested this week, with a decision expected after a Variance Committee hearing. The commission also accepted Linda Crate’s resignation as recording secretary and appointed Susan Driskill to the post. Driskill, a city clerk typist, has worked for the city since 1969 and will start full time after September last year. The commission schedules a workshop Monday Oct 12 and its next regular meeting Monday Oct 19.
