Caffey owner of Caffey's Lucky Seven Store was injured in a fall at the Astrodome on Sunday September 27 and hospitalized for tests missing the grand opening but was back on the job Friday. Dr Ben Thomas of Deer Park is in Chicago to present a short course in Analysis Instrumentation for the Instrument Society of America annual meeting. Deer Park City Council will meet at 7 30 p m Thursday October 7 at City Hall. The council will resume regular meetings on the following Tuesday. Little League annual meeting set for 8 p m Tuesday October 12 at the Deer Park Civic Center auditorium with officer elections. parents urged to attend. Two Highway Projects Approved for Deer Park
The Texas Highway Commission approved two TOPICS road projects in Deer Park Harris County. Luella Street from Eighth Street to State Highway 228 will get grading base and paving at about 107000 dollars. An automatic grade crossing protection device will be installed at the Southern Pacific railroad crossing on Luella Street costing about 20000 dollars. The grants depend on local maintenance responsibilities.
