Erin Glen P and Z Denies Plat Approval
Monday night the Planning and Zoning Commission denied the preliminary plat for Erin Glen Section Three, a 10 lot subdivision west of Georgia Street extension, citing an ordinance that bans driveways on thoroughfares unless the commission recommends it. The vote followed a premeeting workshop on Deer Park's five year Capital Improvement Plan. The plan lists paving projects on San Augustine East Boulevard Eighth Street and Thirteenth Street, plus hydrant placement ranked atop water facilities. Commissioners also urged future county bond improvements including Boggy Bayou cleanup to Highway 25 Pasadena Boulevard to Underwood Road widening and a regional park to serve Pasadena and Deer Park on Port of Houston Authority land between the two cities.
