San Jacinto College to Graduate 162 in 1962 first class
San Jacinto College North will graduate seven students at its first ceremony May 8 in Woodforest United Presbyterian Church Houston. South Campus Pasadena will graduate 155 May 9 at Slocomb Auditorium. North graduates include Clyde Croucher Juan Gutierrez Otis Johnson Charles Jones Rita Parrish Donald Robison Eugene Robison. Four hundred seventeen students applied for associate degrees at the South Campus this spring.

San Jacinto College Hosts Summer Chess Lessons and Tournament

Florence Dahl Services Held for Lovelady Woman
Services for Mrs. Florence Dahl of Lovelady were held May 6 at Chapel Callaway Funeral Home in Crockett. She died May 4. FHA Delegates Attend Convention in San Antonio
La Porte Future Homemakers of America delegates attended the State FHA Convention in San Antonio April 17 and 18. Highlights included the House of Delegates session with Sharon Moble and Sheree Baker, HERO chapter leadership from La Porte, and an Encounter Breakfast honoring Miss Jackson, the first HERO member from La Porte to gain the Encounter Level 3 Award. The event featured a talent show, state chorus songs, and a Tower of the Americas tour.
