Street Name Changes Advanced by Planning Panel
A Planning and Zoning Commission committee report on proposed street name changes was accepted Monday night with guidance to staff for department comment. City Attorney Paul Strong said deed records would remain unaffected if an ordinance copy is filed with Harris County records, and that street control rests with the city without public hearings. Recommended changes include 14th and X Street to Xavier Drive, P Street to Pioneer Drive, Pasadena South Blvd and L Street to Lamar Blvd, Carey Street to Cindy Lane, and Center Street to Center Ave.
