The Deer Park United Methodist Church at Fourth and Ivy announces Advent and Christmas observances. On Sunday Dec 20 the Chancel Choir will perform the cantata Love Transcending at 10 50 a.m. The cantata is by John W. Peterson and directed by Joe M. Escobar with accompanists Mrs. Chester Plant and Mrs. Frank Boyd. Soloists include Mrs. David Knutson Mrs. Dennis Koehn Dennis Koehn and Bill Black. Narration by David Blassingame. Monday and Tuesday evenings Dec 21–22 a living nativity on the north lawn from 7 to 8 30 p.m. Sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. Tom Riley. Christmas Eve Communion in the sanctuary 5 to 6 p.m. open to all. Pastor Rev. Joe W. Fort preaches Dec 27 on Keeping the Spirit Alive. Student Recognition Day will honor college students at the service.
