Deer Park Fire Crews Respond to Nine Alarms and Four Rescues
Firemen answered nine fire alarms and four rescues in a week ending Aug 12. Incidents included a Southern Pacific train derailment with a leaking tank car, a major truck rollover at Highway 225 and Federal Road, a car fire near the post office, a bedroom fire at Casa Marie Apartments, a car fire extinguished by Dry Chemical, a Beltway 8 and Highway 225 truck fire, a ditch fire at Spencer Highway, a grass fire on Hillshire, and three rescue calls including a two-person hospital transport after a Pasadana Boulevard incident and chest pains on Kentucky Street.
