First Iowa silo built in Waukon in 1881 traced
Hon A M May argues against Waterloo dairy show misstatement while recounting Iowa history. Bad weather delayed delivery of the cutting machine, yet the fodder kept well and cows ate it greedily, validating the experiment. Barnes later served in the eighteenth Iowa General Assembly.
