Will of Gunerius Bratios Probate Filed After Sudden Death
The will of Gunerius Bratios aged clock repairer was filed for probate. He owned a Ridgeway area farm of 240 acres and left 500 to United Lutheran church and 250 to Decorah hospital. The remainder goes to his living brothers and sisters, with a sister he lived with among them. Dated January 9, 1914. Anne P. Tuskind of Davenport, N. D., named administrator.

Quiet Police Court Ends With One Intoxicated Arrest
Police court activity was slow until last Saturday evening when one intoxicated individual was jailed until Monday morning and then fined as is customary.
Fire destroys old Jedediah Miller home in Decorah
A Tuesday night blaze in the fifth ward West Decorah destroyed the longtime Jedediah Miller house rented by John McConnell. No one was home. McConnell had moved out furniture already and insured renewal occurred just days before. Fire siren alerted residents as the ninth alarm since December with sparks blamed for ignition.

Living at County Expense in Fort Atkinson Theft
