Iowa teachers certificates cost no state funds says audit
A report claiming Iowa spends forty thousand dollars biannually on grading and issuing teacher certificates is false. There is no state appropriation, and the institute fund plus the state exam fund cover grading costs. Fees are allocated to county institutes and state grading, with most certificates now standardized and widely recognized.
