Salaries Cut for Presidential Postmasters Under Review
The house post office committee backed Postmaster General Burleson's plan to revise the salary table. Many postmasters now earning up to 60000 will see pay reductions to 4000 4500 5000 or 5500 with some staying at 6000 and a few rising. The biggest cuts hit second class offices where current 2000 to 2900 salaries move to 2000 2500 and those between 2500 and 5000 to 2500.
