A Christmas Reminiscence From Decorah’s Youth
An old Decorah reminiscence recalls Ben Bear and a merry gang of boys in the 1970s. The group shared a two story store hangout, pranks, and practical jokes, with Ben briefly owning a loaded pistol that caused a near accident. The memory ends noting how those former youths grew into respectable citizens and fondly recalled simple times.
