The Doll That Wasn't a Doll on Christmas Eve
In a San Francisco department store crowd a shabby old woman clutches a doll and is mistaken for a beggar. Mrs. Millicent Peckham, a high minded philanthropist, orders her arrest but learns the woman’s sorrowful tale of a lost daughter Laurettie. A ministering gesture follows as Peckham plans to restore the doll to a girl in need and free the mother.
