Killed by a horse near Boody farmer dies at eighty

Daily Chronicle reports farmer John Chapman aged about 80 near Boody was kicked by a horse, the hoof striking his chest over the heart. He died shortly after the accident, leaving a son and several relatives, with an eighty acre farm to his name.

Varney Dead Veteran Hotel Keeper and RP Order Member

A. A. Varney, 78, died of heart disease at 7 am at the Varney house in Meron. He supervised the Centre house in the city and ran hotels in Assumption and Ramsey. Funeral from the Varney house tomorrow at 3 pm with Royal Lodge Knights of Pythias in charge. Rev. Cookrum praised Zion church leadership and his preaching.
