Comptroller Bob Bullock announced that monthly rebates of city sales taxes speed up distributions. Since April 1975 these rebates have returned 19 percent of allocations 60 days sooner and 41 percent 30 days sooner. Public cooperation noted as 397 people met with tax officials over four days to adjust property values for school taxes. The governor required market value levies and Southwestern Appraisal revalued properties. the school board then set a fifty percent ratio and will finalize the tax rate to fund 1976-77 operating expenses once totals are known.
