Bearcats Face Early in District Championship Bid

Absentee Ballots Cast in Comanche County Clerk Report

A total of 130 absentee ballots have been cast by mail and in person in Comanche County. Betty Conway, county clerk, notes 41 by mail and 89 in person with about 48 ballots still outstanding. Voters have until 5 00 p m Friday October 29 to cast ballots.

Swine Flu Clinic Set for November 8 at Church

Junior Class to Sponsor Halloween Carnival

The Junior Class will sponsor a Halloween Carnival at 9 00 p m Saturday October 30 in the High School Auditorium. A short program with varied entertainment and a cake auction are planned. Spook contest entrants must be at 9 00 and jack o lantern entries on stage by 8 30 pm First to third prizes will be awarded Admission is twenty five cents per person.

Voter Registration Increases in Comanche County Election

Comanche County reports 6 800 registered voters eligible for the Tuesday general election. Four hundred new registrations since the spring primaries and runoffs, mainly in De Leon box no 15 and Comanche box no 1, with smaller gains in other boxes.
