Shirlee Chupp tops DeLeon High School 1976 with a 96.53 average and valedictorian honors. Perri Lou Short, junior class president and state track competitor, is among honorees. Others include Paul Tate, Sharon Hammit, Polly Moore, Lester Walker, and Craig Smith recognized as honor graduates for their academic and athletic achievements.

Eisenrich Completes Requirements for Academy of Family Physicians
Forrest A. Eisenrich, M. D. has completed 150 hours of accredited continuing medical education in the past three years to retain active membership in the American Academy of Family Physicians, the national group for family doctors. The academy, founded in 1947 and based in Kansas City, MO, founded family practice as a primary specialty in 1969 and remains the largest national medical group requiring ongoing medical education for certification and re election.

Splash Day at City Pool Opens May 27
The city pool announces Splash Day on Thursday May 27 with free admission. Coach Priest will oversee operations along with lifeguard Rebecca Hale, certified by the American Red Cross, as hours shift 2:00 on weekdays 1:30 on weekends and the pool closes Mondays. Ladies Night may run Thursdays 6:00 to 8:00 if interest grows.
