The De Leon swimming pool will hold a free admission Splash Day on Thursday May 29 from 3 15 to 6 00 p m. Afterwards the pool opens six days a week from 2 00 to 6 00 p m with public admission set at 75 cents for all ages and 25 cents for the kiddie pool.

Texas Electric Service Company on May 15 filed a request for a 17.7 percent systemwide revenue increase. De Leon to get five meter earth receive station
Tele- Communications, Inc. announces a new five meter earth receive station for De Leon to receive national and world TV programming via the Communications Space Satellite. The 17 foot diameter, 5000 pound dish will be installed on Route 2 and aimed at RCA Satcom I. Programs include The Christian Broadcasting Network, WTBS, C-SPAN, Calliope, and premium HBO. Local service will reach about 900 families through Community TV of De Leon.
