Recreation Use Fees To Be Collected At Some Camping Areas
The Fort Worth District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers begins its 1979 Summer Camping Fee Collection from May 25 through September 3. Fees, set by Public Law 93-303, apply at federally operated campgrounds with essential facilities, ranging from $1 to $3 per day for basic camping and $15 to $25 per day for group areas. Golden Age passport holders receive a 50 percent reduction. Fort Worth District will collect fees at 43 parks in Texas, with specific rates at Proctor Lake and Copperas Creek Park.
