Varieties Of 1955 Set For High School Auditorium Show
De Leon residents are invited to the high school auditorium Tuesday March 22 at 8 p m for Varieties Of 1955 a program blending music comedy and specialty acts. The De Leon Stage Band led by Ernest Repast performs several numbers and a vocal trio joins the lineup. A five piece Jazz Band from Texas Christian University features professional musicians including Repast Morris Repast and Nolley Vereen with drum solos. Other acts include Wade Freeman amateur magician Ann Parsons piano solo the De Leon Quartet Leon Valley Boys and a vocal duet Sylvia Foster Patsy Stephenson plus a pantomime by high school girls. Admission is 40 cents for adults 25 cents for students. proceeds support the band uniform fund.

College Group to Visit First Christian Church De Leon
A Dallas Christian College caravan will visit the First Christian Church of De Leon next Sunday evening March 20. Professor Charles Gresham will lead the service with Dallas students participating. The program includes musical numbers chalk talks slides and Gospel messages inviting public attendance. Cub Pack Holds First Meeting at Methodist Church
Cub Pack 23 held its inaugural gathering at the Methodist Church Tuesday night with 85 attendees including 32 Scouts. Twenty nine earned Bobcat badges as four dens presented programs. Mrs Noel Breaks Hip in Fall
