Methodist Revival Gains Attention and Attendance in De Leon
The Methodist revival shows rising interest with morning services drawing the largest crowds in the three revivals led by Evangelist Quay Parter and song leader Earl Ward in De Leon. Each evening features a specific sponsoring group and invites all city residents to participate through July 4 with daily services at 10 am and 8 pm.

Choice steers bring $25 at Fort Worth market

Upstream Flood Control Has Small Effect on Reservoir Evaporation
H WN. Smith a Texas conservationist says upstream flood prevention dams do not threaten water supplies. He notes 40 dams in the Trinity watershed cut flood losses and allow crop expansion on previously flooded bottomlands. Richey Killed in Car Crash Near Sweetwater Farm
Funeral services were held for 70 year old Nolan County farmer William M. Richey who died when his car overturned after hitting a culvert on a road near his farm west of Sweetwater. He had just attended his daughter's wedding in Denver. Survivors include six sons and three daughters.
