On Wednesday June 1 a luncheon at the Senior Citizens Center drew forty one attendees including Green Thumb staff and workers. De Leon residents Mr and Mrs J W Sadberry attended. J W Sadberry leads the Comanche County Farmers Union. The center is run by Green Thumb Inc a federal program for seniors on limited income funded by the Department of Labor and sponsored by the Farmers Union.

Comptroller Bob Bullock mailed checks totaling 826677 to 251 Texas counties for issuing and processing voter registration certificates from February 1, 1976, to January 31, 1977.
