Rev Billy Graham stars in the Christian film OIL TOWN U S A to be shown July 19 at First Baptist Church. The event starts at 6 00 P M with no admission charge and first come seating. The Houston crusade footage includes Rice Stadium gathering of 60090 and features Colleen Townsend Evans Georgia Lee Paul Power Robert Clarke and Redd Harper Cindy Walker.
James Roy Braswell 28 of Sweetwater charged with attempted burglary of Blanket State Bank escaped Brown County jail on July 5 and remains at large. Authorities say he used a statewide network of officers to elude capture. His wife Phoebe was arrested near Comanche the next day and jailed in Comanche County.
A Comanche County dairy farmer Jesse F Reese gains unexpected attention after radioactivity indications on his land draw visitors seeking healing. The Robbins-Poston Tractor Company building in Dublin burned Friday night around 7:30 p.m. All contents were destroyed with an estimated loss over $100,000. The building, leased from Mrs. Lloyd Hines, was not included in the loss estimate. Ben Robbins, general manager, reported the figures.

Mrs C L Mohon Jr received word Tuesday of the death of her aunt Mrs B L Gayne in Waco. Mr and Mrs Mohon and their sons Lindsey and Jimmy Me attended the funeral Wednesday afternoon at 2 30 oclock.

Comanche real estate dealer M. W. Little was robbed of 250 to 300 dollars at his home Friday night. The intruder forced him to hand over cash through a front screen door while another man watched from the rear. Little's phone line was cut when he attempted to call police.

Insects damage field crops cantaloupes and watermelons with aphids controllable by malathion spray targeting leaf undersides.
