Texans will start renewing motor vehicle registrations on February 1 1977 and renewal notices will be mailed soon. Inmates at Huntsville prison sort notices by zip code to save about 50000 in postage. The 1977 stickers feature a red background blue serial numbers and gear imagery. Mail registrations run February 1 to March 1 with a April 1 deadline.

Kennedys Injured After Car Truck Collision
Arby and Laverne Kennedy were in a crash on Highway 6 at Travis Street when their 1962 Chevrolet was struck by a 1970 tractor trailer driven by Delbert Willeford. Mrs. Kennedy suffered broken ribs and lacerations. Mr. Kennedy has a concussion. Both were hospitalized. Willeford uninjured.

Charles Ross Suffers Head Injuries in Farm Accident
Charles Ross of De Leon was injured Saturday on the Lennard Caraway farm at Comyn while working cattle. A horse threw him, leaving head lacerations. over 200 stitches were required in surgery and he is in the De Leon Hospital ICU.

Two Dallas Teens Arrested After Traffic Stop Near De Leon
Police stopped a 1967 Chevrolet on Highway 6 east of De Leon for weaving. In the car officers found two handguns a shotgun a long chain leg weights marijuana paraphernalia and alcohol. The sixteen year old occupants were jailed in Comanche County and set for court.

Gail P Dudley 73, well known Comanche cattleman, died Friday of an apparent heart attack. Services were held Sunday at Comanche Funeral Home with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Surviving are his wife Editha three sons Julia Allison a daughter two brothers and four sisters.
