DHL Kittens secured third place at the Howard Payne Tournament in Brownwood last week. In the opener against Cisco, the Kittens fell 45 to 8, with Kelly Mitchell 14 and Terrie Van Zandt 12 leading their scoring. In the second game they defeated San Saba 44 to 22 as Mitchell poured in 23 points. Coach Chan Priest praised improved forwards and steady guard play.
