The De Leon City Hall hosts a December 21 fundraiser with a bike raffle and an auction to benefit Guy Tidwell facing a costly heart transplant. Donors bring items to City Hall around 5 p.m. and tickets are sold via Locke Insurance, Dabney Hardware, Weaver Drug, or Chamber directors. Santa will be present for last minute requests.

De Leon Defeats Muenster 20 14 In Class A Quarterfinal
De Leon Bearcats weathered a tough Muenster Hornets defense to win 20 14 on the road in Weatherford. Mark Sicking led Muenster with 29 rushing yards on 13 carries while De Leon dominated with 249 rushing yards and 81 plays to 41. Bearcat captains Toby Hare Rocky Hardin and Joe Bob Huddleston won the coin flip and received. Hardin connected on a 43 yard halfback option pass to Steve Hallmark setting up a Hardin rushing touchdown. De Leon led 6 0 at halftime with 4 21 remaining in the second quarter.
